About the Authors
As the Manager of Research Analytics, Chris plays a key role in managing client projects by dealing with both qualitative and quantitative data, designing methodologies and instruments, and using data analysis to develop insightful client reports. Chris’ skills demonstrate the ability to use many research approaches and techniques to fulfill client needs. Chris joined RMS as a Research Associate in the summer of 2010. He is a graduate of Le Moyne College, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.

Emily Palermo | Research & Social Media Associate
As the Research and Social Media Associate at RMS, Emily plays an essential role in the research analytic team aiding in client research, coding, interviewing, analyzing and reporting. In addition to her contributions to the blog, you’ll also see her activity on the RMS Facebook page, RMS LinkedIn page, RMS Twitter page, and RMS ViewPoint Twitter page. Emily joined RMS as the ViewPoint Panel Coordinator in the spring of 2014. She is a graduate of Oswego State, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations and a minor in Business Administration.
Mark Dengler | President
Mark has more than 25 years experience in general and product specific marketing, strategic planning and development, teaching/training, market research techniques and general business operations. He has worked extensively with various business teams to address issues resulting in overall financial performance improvement and marketplace awareness.
Susan Maxsween | Senior Director of Healthcare Operations & Compliance
Susan is a former managed care executive who helped physician practices and health systems transform their operations to become more efficient and optimize quality care outcomes. Most recently she is working with primary care physician groups helping them to prepare for National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Physician Practice Connection Patient Centered Medical Home accreditation. She works with both physicians and administrators to facilitate and ensure patient- and practice-based quality improvement initiatives.
Megan O’Donnell | Healthcare Analytics & CAHPS® Product Manager
As the Healthcare Analytics and CAHPS Product Manager, Megan brought over 20 years of planning, research, and management experience in the health care arena. She could identify and integrate resources to solve complex organizational issues. Megan coordinated all the activities related to healthcare client analytical and survey projects. She interacted regularly with clients and ensured compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Michele Treinin | Healthcare Analyst
Michele worked with the RMS Healthcare division team researching and analyzing survey and claims data, creating monthly reports. Michele also aided in satisfaction data sampling and survey distribution related to the CMS CAHPS survey, and other related projects. Michele assisted with healthcare and healthcare trend related posts on the RMS Bunker Blog.
George Kuhn | Director of Research Services
As previous Director of Research Services, George brought a unique blend of analytical and project management skills to the position. George managed various types of quantitative and qualitative research studies for RMS. He excels in working with clients to better understand their research needs, determine project goals, and deliver actionable business solutions. George has an M.B.A. from Clarkson University in New York with a concentration in Innovation and New Venture Management. He earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Statistics from Castleton State College in Vermont.
Vance Marriner | Senior Research Analyst
Vance was an author on the RMS Bunker Blog from 2010 through 2014. Vance brought more than 12 years of experience in marketing, research, advertising and media to his role as a Senior Research Analyst at Research & Marketing Strategies, Inc. (RMS). Prior to joining RMS, Vance was the Advertising Administrative Manager for the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, a daily newspaper serving Central Massachusetts. While there, he tracked, analyzed and forecasted advertising sales trends, consulted with sales managers and staff on marketing issues, and was responsible for budget preparation and commission plan administration for an 80-person advertising department. He worked in such wide-ranging areas as media audience measurement, market analysis, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), copywriting, and designing marketing materials. Vance has an M.A. degree in Advertising from Syracuse University’s S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and a B.A. degree in Communication Studies from the State University of New York at Oswego.
Anna Dengler | Research Associate
Anna was an author on the RMS Bunker Blog in 2010. As a Research Associate, Anna Dengler provided research and consulting support including collecting and analyzing primary and secondary data, helping to write client reports and interpreting data, which allowed her to obtain first-hand experience on methodologies and approaches in meeting client research needs. Anna joined RMS full-time as a Research Associate in the Summer of 2009. She has her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Nazareth College of Rochester. She interned at Ultralife Batteries, in Newark, N.Y., working on an international marketing sales packet and a public relations database creation. Like we say in the Bunker, once a Bunker tenant, always a Bunker tenant.
