Healthcare Research Analyst
Job description: Provide research and analytical support on a wide variety of health care related projects in the RMS Healthcare division. Particular focus will be on claims analysis and patient satisfaction measurement. Work will include reviewing insurance payer supplied information, working directly with practice managers and administrators, identifying opportunities for revenue and/or market share growth; and analyzing patient satisfaction data.
Duties: * basic medical administration and medical office quality management consulting; * claims, revenue, database management and analysis; * CAHPS patient satisfaction survey management, auditing, data submission; * report writing and other management research assistance related to optimizing health care delivery;
Requirements: - motivated self-starter; - analytical abilities to work through claims data; - medical office billing and/or operations experience; - understanding of industry trends including: patient registry, patient-centered medical home, use of electronic medical records and patient portals as well as pay-for-performance opportunities from insurance payers. - a bachelor's degree or commensurate experience; - strong written and verbal communications skills; - excellent computer skills (including database skills); - the desire to learn and grow.
