Prior to joining RMS, Vance was the Advertising Administrative Manager for the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, a daily newspaper serving Central Massachusetts. While there, he tracked, analyzed and forecasted advertising sales trends, consulted with sales managers and staff on marketing issues, and was responsible for budget preparation and commission plan administration for an 80-person advertising department.

Vance gained extensive market research experience at newspapers in the highly competitive Boston and New York media markets. In research positions at the Telegram & Gazette, as well as the Connecticut Post in Bridgeport, CT, he worked in such wide-ranging areas as media audience measurement, market analysis, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), copywriting, and designing marketing materials.

In his other professional experience, Vance has served as an Account Executive at Walter Karl, Inc., a direct marketing firm located in Greenwich, CT., and held sales and customer service positions at the Syracuse Newspapers.

Vance has an M.A. degree in Advertising from Syracuse University’s S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and a B.A. degree in Communication Studies from the State University of New York at Oswego.

He resides in Fulton, N.Y. with his wife and two children.
