2012 Annual Revenue: $1.5 million

2013 Projected Revenue: $1.65 million

2012 Corporate Highlights: RMS celebrated 10 years in business in 2012 with May 5th marking its 10th anniversary. The firm also reached its $1.25 million revenue goal in 2012; sales were strong and RMS’ customer base grew while retaining current clients. RMS expanded into new areas including Manufacturing, Hospitality, Retail and Advertising (the firm was featured in a New York Times article). The company also secured its first international accounts with a Canadian firm and a Korean firm.

The RMS Healthcare division saw successes in 2012 with the National Renal Administrators Association (NRAA) naming RMS Healthcare a preferred vendor in conducting the newly-required In-Center Hemodialysis (ICH) Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS®) survey. This was added to RMS’ CAHPS® survey administration activities already in place for hospitals, home health agencies and physician practices. RMS Healthcare was also listed in Modern Healthcare’s 2012 edition of the Top 21 Patient Satisfaction Measurement Firms, helped to assist 34 practices across the country in achieving PPC-PCMH Recognition and launched a quarterly newsletter, the Quality Care Courier. RMS QualiSight introduced FocusVision (allowing clients to view focus group proceedings using remote Internet viewing capabilities) and the In-House Research Panel grew significantly in 2012 and continues to grow. Overall, the firm hired four new employees and the company’s blog, website and newsletter (RMSNews) continue to be used as valuable references; composers of these materials are seen as industry leaders and are asked to speak and moderate across the country.

2013 Corporate Plans/Outlook: While there is a continued need to show value and quality through research activities in all industries, it is especially significant in the Healthcare industry with the increase of government monitoring and measurement requirements due to the Affordable Care Act. RMS Healthcare will continue to assist healthcare agencies in meeting these requirements. The firm will also continue to help industry segments create data-based dashboards and use available customer and target market information for effective monitoring and decision-making. RMS is using electronic media to engage consumers and businesses in sharing critical feedback with regard to products and services. This means mobile device surveys, online user panels and qualitative, in-depth interviewing. Additionally, RMS expects to work with its clients to help them evaluate and analyze their current data and turn it into valuable information to guide strategic planning.
